Games I play

During this pandemic and since I'm on summer break I spend a lot of my time playing games while watching YouTube videos, so, let me take you through some of the games I play.

American Truck Simulator

If you don't know what American Truck Simulator is, it's a slow burn driving simulator where you ferry cargo around and slowly become able to ferry it further and buy more stuff, eventually hiring ppl to make money for you. However, as I said it takes a while: it's a slow burn. Now, this may sound boring because it's a slow burn, but at least for me it's kinda soothing, and there's the satisfaction of delivering stuff. I don't play very often, but when I do play, I tend to play for hours at a time, slowly moving cargo towards the end goal. Unfortuantly, I don't have any screenshots of my game, so enjoy this one instead. Also, while I was geting the image for this part, I realized: the acronym for American Truck Simulator is ATM. I think it's a funny coincidence.

In both screenshots I am driving the truck. Notice how good the game looks :)

Cities Skylines

Cities Skylines is a special game in my heart, because it is the game I have spent the most time on a single save in. Now, the game is about building a city: ye average city builder, but with some neat easter eggs, like every person in the city being selectable and having names, as well as the same applying to all the streets and buildings and such. Also, the game is just really well built; it's a well polished city builder. But, let me get back to that save I've spent so long on. For 1 1/2 years now I've been working on a city named "Burroburg", which is split in twaine by the Burro River, which is dammed btw, but this city is one I have been working on for so long, and although lately I haven't really played Cities Skylines much, Burroburg is nonetheless still very important to me. One neat side note is that I've decided to save every time I saved and quit the game as a seperate save in the cloud, so I can look back at the cities progression, though at some point the data for the city budget got deleted, so welp.

The screenshot on the left shows how many saves I have for Burroburg, the screenshot on the right shows the extent of the city.

Minecraft

Ah Minecraft, the whole reason I made this particular page of my site. I love Minecraft less for it's gameplay, I mean, don't get me wrong Minecraft is a fun game, but I love it more for it's customizability. In my opinion, Minecraft has the best mods of any game I have ever played: If there's something you want in Minecraft, no matter what it is, you can probably find it, and one of these things you can find are: Shaders. I LOVE how good Minecraft with shaders looks. I am currently building up a base on a server hosted on this site, but I will not give the exact ip because I don't want the server flodded with new players. But, I will provide a picture of my base. I love how this game can look, and how many mods there are for it.

A VERY beautiful Minecraft house

Look how amazing this house looks! I built and screenshotted this! However, I will mention that with these shaders, it only runs at round 20fps.
